We are working to build connections with the community we serve each and every day, and here are just a few of the ones that we have made! If you would like your organization to benefit from Kiwanis service, please contact us!
American Cancer Society
Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. Mid-County Kiwanis volunteers its time to the Blue Bell American Cancer Society branch and looks forward to helping with Relay for Life in the spring. Cradles to Crayons
Cradles to Crayons gives kids up to 12 years old living in low income and homeless situations the essentials they need to feel safe, warm and ready to learn free of charge. Volunteers coordinate donations from corporate and community sponsors and assemble packages of items that Cradles to Crayons social service partner agencies request for the children they serve called KidPacks, which are then distributed to children in the five county region. The PEAK Center
The PEAK (People Experiencing Activity, Arts, and Knowledge) Center supports wellness and quality of life for adults, primarily those of age fifty or older, and promotes their participation in all aspects of community life. We have had the pleasure of volunteering at their Thanksgiving and Holiday Luncheons and delivering food packages in the Lansdale-area.
